Dr Paul Shaw and Professor Paul Burn in collaboration with the Defence Science Technology Group have been awarded funding to develop technology to counter the ever-growing incidence of improvised threats. Over 200 proposals were submitted to the Grand Challenge, with 13 funded to support collaborative research programs across 26 different organisations. The program awarded to the COPE team builds on the intellectual property and knowhow that has gone into the development of Arbsense, which is currently being commercialised by Arborescent 2 Ltd.
