Professor Paul Meredith to take up Chair at Swansea University, UK

Professor Paul Meredith has resigned his position at the University of Queensland to take up a prestigious Chair at Swansea University, UK. Paul joined UQ in 2001 and was promoted to Professor in 2010. Paul played a key role in attracting Professor Paul Burn as an ARC Federation Fellow in 2007 and after the founding of COPE became a co-Director. Paul’s interests have had a strong focus on solar energy both at the research level at COPE and through his engagement as Director of UQ solar with UQ becoming the world’s largest university operator of renewable energy infrastructure to date. Paul has strategically contributed to a range of other research activities at COPE as well as his world leading science in the area of bioelectronics. We wish him well as he takes up his position in Swansea.
